Character Roles are the Adventurers of the Renegade Campaigns

While Renegade Campaigns will be "Preloaded" with thousands of Supporting Character Role (SCR) Characters; Character Roles are the Adventurers of the Renegade Campaigns; with unique backstory, skill set and personality created by the Character Role Licensee.

Each Character Role will have four Supporting Character Role as their loyal companions. Frequently, these SCR will be Performed by the friends of a Character Role Licensee as an introduction to a Renegade Campaign.

Some CRL will choose to upgrade a SCR Adventurer Party from the Earldom of Valeni; veterans of the vicious Valeni Civil War who; when pushed into a corner; will dust off the nasty tactics and skills that they used to survive the war; and use them against other Characters.

Some CRL will choose to create a Character Role from outside the Earldom of Valeni; with their four SCR supplied by Renegade Theatre Company; immigrating to the Provinces in search of Adventure.

Some CRL will choose to participate in the Geopolitical Campaign, allocating their Adventuring Party as mercenaries. Some CRL will settle in a Province and be called up for Militia duty by the Baron; or called up by the High Priests; or called up by their Guild Grand Master.

Some CRL will choose to only attend Renegade Events; face to face; Hosted by Story Provider Licensee (SPL) where they will freeform or participate in Missions. Some CRL will combine the allocation of their Renegade Adventurer Party to Geopolitical with attendance at Renegade Events.

Some CRL will choose additional License and attend Renegade Events as a Count, Baron, Lord, High Priest or Guild Grand Master; entitled to use a portion of their Geopolitical Wealth at the Event; though such high profile Character Roles are often the target of other Adventurers who may seek to Capture and Ransom such individuals.

Renegade Character Role Comrades

As discussed previously, Character Role Licensee be allocated Four Loyal Companion Supporting Character Roles; often played by a Performer’s friends that have been invited to attend a Renegade Event; having signed the Code of Conduct Agreement and become a Supporting Character Role Licensee.

As discussed previously, Character Role Licensee be allocated Four Loyal Companion Supporting Character Roles; often played by a Performer’s friends that have been invited to attend a Renegade Event; having signed the Code of Conduct Agreement and become a Supporting Character Role Licensee.

However, when a CRL Performer cannot find someone to play the role of their SCR Comrade, they may still play the SCR themselves on occasion throughout a Renegade Campaign Event in order to establish the SCR within the Renegade Community. The CRL may also choose to perform their own CRL Companion while their own Character Role is resting or incapacitated.

Whenever a CRL activates one of their companion SCR they must faithfully play the SCR according to the SCR Character's Personality and previous Journal entries and not simply as a way of boosting their own Character Role's objectives. Whether it be a SCRL friend of the CRL or the CRL themselves; playing the SCR Character, new Journal Entries will be created and sent to Renegade Theatre Company at the end of the Renegade Event.

SCR Comrades are not the slaves or servants and should be treated with respect by the Character Role Licensee; as well as other Character Role Licensee at a Renegade Event. In Character Conflicts can begin by a CRL insulting another individual’s SCR Comrade.

Renegade Theatre Company will read SCR Journal entries to ensure that their CRL is treating their SCR Companions well and may choose to add additional storyline to these Journals in order to stimulate the Renegade Campaign. On occasion, Renegade Theatre Company will use a SCR Companion to create IC Conflict.

On occasion, Renegade Theatre Company will create an IC conflict that will end an association between a CRL and one of their SCR Companions. It may also be that a SCRL who playing the role; or who has played the role of a SCR Companion; chooses to become a Character Role Licensee and convert an individual’s SCR Companion into a Character Role.

Character Role Licensee who have "Lost" an SCR Comrade due to the Permadeath of the SCR or for the above reasons will receive a replacement SCR Comrade on the date of Re-Licensing as a CRL. Alternatively, the CRL may try to "Recruit" a SCR at a Renegade Event.

If a CRL believes that their Character Role has had a mutually beneficial association with a SCR at a Renegade Event, they may request; from Renegade Theatre Company; that the SCR becomes their replacement SCR Companion. Renegade Theatre Company will read the SCR Journals and may interview the Performers of the SCR regarding the association. If acceptable, the SCR will become a new SCR Comrade.

Renegade Alias

Renegade Alias are the fictional IC names that the people of the Earldom of Valeni have chosen for themselves in order to protect their identity during the Valeni Civil War.

The use of an Alias has now become part of the culture of the region and even visitors or immigrants to the Earldom of Valeni choose an Alias in order to fit in with this custom.

A Renegade Alias is made up of two parts; though some individuals will permit the use of one or the other rather than both aspects of the Alias.

The first aspect of a Renegade Alias is generally a colour, material, feeling, thought or state of being; while the second aspect is generally an Noble Creature or Object.

Renegades Choosing a Mash –
While there are potentially thousands of Mash in the Renegade Campaign, the Imperial Factions are based on association with the below four Empires.

Renegades Choosing a Race –
The Renegade Campaign Character Costume Concept (CCC) Standards; based on Theatrical Standards of Fantasy Film and Television productions; will limit the Race that a Character Role Licensee may choose to the individual’s use of makeup, prosthetics and effects. Pure Blood Fantasy Races will only be available to those who can meet the highest CCC. As such, Renegade Theatre Company recommend Human for the majority of Performers and Half Races for those who are able to meet the reduced CCC expectations of Half Races.

The Renegade Campaign Races are:

The Four Living Gods (Living Gods are in Bold),

** If Refugees and visitors from other Game Worlds are permitted; with their own pantheon: their worshipers will have no powers without the permission of Renegade Theatre Company.
