IC Objective

​

Each Baron or Count has been tasked with taking control of their provinces and reestablishing governance of the people and territory in the name of their Imperial Faction. As such, they must conduct a census and mapping of the territories they have been entrusted with; improve the productivity of their Provinces; defend the territory from aggressors; and supply this information to their Imperial Faction.

OOC Licensee Baron Objective:

 

The Licensee Baron or Count is the “Dungeon Master” of their own lands; creating and maintaining a Barony that is a balance of Defence, Offense and Improvement. A successful Licensee Lord, Baron or Count must consider the Defence of their Provinces from invasion by rival Barons as well as internal defence of their people from small scale tactical raids by other Players who wish to take what is yours. The resources available to a Baron during and after Barony creation can make even the most experienced adventurer balk at the difficulties they will need to overcome; in the form of Fortifications, Patrols, Traps and Standing Orders. The successful Licensee Baron must also be prepared to strike Offensively if necessary in response to treaty obligations they might form with other Barons but also in the offensive reclamation of wilderness areas of their Provinces from Monsters and Undead. Population Growth is a race between recruiting settlers and finding defensible housing for their settlers. Reclaiming towns, villages and Hamlets from Undead can enable a Lord, Baron or Count to rebuild and house the people within their defences, provide training for their troops and demonstrate Offensive operations to potential enemies and allies alike.

 

Playing the role of a Licensee Lord, Baron or Count in the Ralsted Campaign is not pay to win as the use of Tax revenues is strictly controlled by Renegade Team Building and rewards from a Licensee Lord, Baron or Count to another Licensee are based on IC performance with IC justification. Licensee Lord, Baron or Count cannot simply turn up to events wearing pretty costume while disregarding their Licensee duties. Licensee Barons have OOC responsibilities to Renegade Team Building as well as IC responsibilities to their people, their Earl, King and Emperor. The minimum requirement is easily achieved by the creation of a strong foundation in Province Creation Mapping, allocation of people to defensive works, the strategic placement of troops within the Province and solid standing orders for the troops and people. Additionally, a Licensee Lord, Baron or Count can make many Decree Tactical Geopolitical Moves to encourage small unit missions; with reasonable rewards; for independent Adventurers to fulfil much of the work for them. Even with this minimum level of involvement, attending an event in a pretty costume will most likely result in loyal and enthusiastic IC interactions with other Players.

BARON LICENSEE

The License to use of IP related to the WORKS, in the GAME and remain entitled to their Moral Rights as the Author of any content they create, edit or modify; for the TERM; to be added to the WORKS; for use in the GAME.

 

BARON LICENSEE (BL) means an IC/OOC LICENSE over a BARONY in either the GOLDEN AGE CAMPAIGN, PRE APOCALYPTIC CAMPAIGN or POST APOCALYPTIC CAMPAIGN; both IC and OOC; for the TERM; to be added to the WORKS; for use in the GAME.
 

BARON LICENSEE (BL) Duties, Responsibilities and Benefits:
 

  1. 1 x EXCLUSIVITY LICENSEE over specific GROUP/FACTION in specific IC TERRITORY,
     

  2. 1 x EXCLUSIVITY LICENSEE over specific PROVINCE IC TERRITORY.
     

  3. 1 x EXCLUSIVITY LICENSEE over specific IC FORCES; calculated for the BL as 30 Days service; per year; from the POPULATION living in their IC TERRITORY; plus any negotiated days of service;
     

  4. 1 x EXCLUSIVITY LICENSEE over GROUP/FACTION INCOME; calculated for the BL as 10% of the IC CHARACTER RESOURCE; per year; from the POPULATION living in their IC TERRITORY;
     

  5. The BL MUST participate in RENEGADE GEOPOLITICAL; using their GROUP/FACTION, IC FORCES and IC CHARACTER RESOURCE to SPONSOR GEOPOLITICAL MOVES in the best interests of the IC TERRITORY.
     

  6. +10 additional NPC RETAINER, Master of a Combat related Skill (MUST be given a IC TITLE DEED within 12 months of BARON LICENSEE LICENSE to remain with the BL),
     

  7. May allocate the BL CHARACTER to RENEGADE LARP MISSION or RENEGADE GEOPOLITICAL outside of BL duties.
     

  8. May SPONSOR RENEGADE LARP MISSION or RENEGADE GEOPOLITICAL outside of IC TERRITORY IC FORCES.

  9. The BL MUST complete assigned tasks in a timely manner; 7 Day Completion; unless additional time is requested and authorised in writing by RENEGADE TEAM BUILDING.
     

  10. The BL MUST accept OOC financial or trade compensation for their time and effort from LICENSEE who engage their services. The BL will require written consent from RENEGADE TEAM BUILDING for every exception if they do not wish to be compensated for their work.
     

  11. The BL may increase the size of their IC TERRITORY by using RENEGADE GEOPOLITICAL IC FORCES and IC CHARACTER RESOURCE. Once the BL PROVINCE IC TERRITORY is cleansed of Undead in all FORTIFIED FARMS, FORTIFIED HAMLETS, FORTIFIED VILLAGES and FORTIFIED TOWNS, they may take on additional EXCLUSIVITY LICENSEE of a neighbouring PROVINCE and repeat the RENEGADE GEOPOLITICAL process.
     

  12. The BL with four EXCLUSIVITY LICENSEE over four PROVINCE may upgrade their LICENSE to COUNT LICENSEE.
     

  13. BL MUST hold IC control of at least one PROVINCE IC TERRITORY to remain a BL.
     

  14. BL may only ABDICATE or be deposed in a COUP with written permission from RENEGADE TEAM BUILDING.

 

Additional if also PLAYER CHARACTER LICENSEE:
 

  1. +2 Hit Point (HP),
     

  2. + 50000 Silver Pieces (SP) per IC TERRITORY,
     

  3. + 2 Random IC TITLE DEED per IC TERRITORY,
     

  4. +100,000 SP in Defensive Works (MUST be allocated within 12 months of STRONGHOLD allocation),
     

  5. 1 x Combat Skill at GRAND MASTER IC RANK,
     

  6. Entitled to 20% of IC GROUP/FACTION INCOME per year as IC CHARACTER RESOURCE
     

Additional Starting RENEGADE MAGIC if also PLAYER CHARACTER LICENSEE:
 

  1. +2 x Random RENEGADE BALANCED MAGIC ITEM with 4 x random RENEGADE ELEMENTAL SPIRIT with 1 x Random RENEGADE MAGIC effect each; per IC TERRITORY,

 

RECOMMENDED FEES: $16.50 ** per 15 Minutes Consultation; $11 ** Per day for plot inclusion Hosting Events; $22 ** Per Hour NPC Duties; $0.05 ** Per Word for Custom BARONY Changes
